The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of providing support for people who are living with disability. It is a major reform of disability services, a whole life approach designed to provide the right support to each person's needs and goals. The NDIS pays for supports that are reasonable and necessary. Supports are related to a person's disability and are required for them to live comfortably and assist them to achieve their goals. Delivered meals are covered under Core Supports - Assistance with Daily Activities.

If delivered meals are considered reasonable and necessary in your plan, the NDIS will cover the cost of the meal preparation and delivery. The ingredient costs are the Participant's responsibility to pay.


How much does it cost?

The portion that can be claimed is the preparation and delivery cost. The ingredients (food) used to prepare the delivered meal is still the responsibility of the consumer to pay for. If you need more information around pricing please email home@thr1ve.me


How do I know if I am eligible for ready meals delivered on my plan?

To be eligible for Home Delivered Meals, your NDIS plan needs to include Home Services or Daily Activities. If you’re not sure if your plan includes these, you can check in with your plan manager.


Can I try it, just for a week?

Yes, you can. We want to offer you flexibility, so you can try a one-off order. If you love it, you can set up a subscription order – this means you will also qualify for our subscription benefits.


Can I choose my own meals?

Yes, you can choose your own meals from our delicious menu and buy what you need each week. If you’ve signed up for a subscription, you can edit your order. Make sure you get any changes in before Sunday, a week prior to your delivery.


How does payment work?

We currently offer NDIS services to customers on Self-Managed Plans, meaning you make the full payment to us up front, and we provide you with a detailed tax receipt to make your claim to NDIS.

If you are agency or plan managed, please speak to your plan manager directly about your options.
